How to Disable IPv6 on Windows?

In this article we will show you how to disable IPv6 on Windows desktop computer.

  1. Open Network connections

    Start Run dialog by pressing ⊞Win+R and enter the following command: control netconnections

    Command prompt network connections

  2. Open Properties

    Right click the adapter you are connecting with and click on Properties

    Change adapter properties

  3. Un-check IPv6

    Remove the check mark from Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6). Finally, press OK.
