hide.me Stealth Guard is a feature that limits connectivity while the VPN connection is not active. This way you can ensure that;
a) Your app(s) does not use data traffic if your Internet package is limited.
b) Apps do not leak your real IP address. You can enable this feature in a restrictive way for all apps or in a less restrictive way for selected apps only.
This feature is very useful if you want to ensure that your file-sharing apps are never able to communicate without an active VPN.
We recommend you enable hide.me Stealth Guard for additional layers of security. To do so, click on Settings at the bottom of our app.
Note: If you don’t see hide.me Stealth Guard option within our VPN client app, you will need to reinstall our app to the latest version.
Click on the Stealth Guard tab on the left side followed by Limit Apps to VPN.
If you want to block your app(s) Internet connection during the time that VPN is disabled, click on + Add to add an application.
Once you’ve added the app, please restart your app(s) for the changes to take effect. If it didn’t work, simply restart your computer.
Note: make sure that you’re adding the application’s executable (likely located in Program Files) and not the shortcut to the executable (likely on Desktop), otherwise Stealth Guard won’t work.
